Two Times True with Christi Bye

It's always interesting when members of one family join forces musically, and that is the basic concept for Two Times True. The band features Carolbeth True on piano and keyboard, and her son David True on drums. In performance, they are joined by Glen Smith on bass, Larry Johnson on saxophone and Christi John Bye on vocals. Carolbeth True has been an active member of the St. Louis musical community for many years. She is an adjunct professor at Webster University-teaching both jazz and classical piano. She has her own group, The Carolbeth Trio, as well as Two Times True. The band's recent CD, Two Times True, showcases material consists largely of funky classics, jazz-rock and Latin styles, with great songbook and jazz standards, as well as originals.
