The Dawn Weber Jazz Group
Trumpet player, songwriter and vocalist Dawn Weber is a versatile musician who has performed with the Saint Louis Symphony and the Holiday Brass as well as working in musical genres as diverse as rock, R&B, swing and salsa to electronic and funk styles; a mesmerizing, high-energy stage presence. Add it up and it can only describe one person - Dawn Weber. A familiar presence in Metro East as an instructor at the Belleville East and O'Fallon High School music programs, Dawn will feature her jazz band.
Dawn’s jazz experience started at the North Carolina School of the Arts. The Jazz Ensemble frequently toured all of the Eastern side of the United States. Dawn continued her jazz studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music by studying jazz improve with Marshall Griffith. When Dawn arrived in St. Louis, one of her first groups she began playing with was Vargas Swing. Here is when Dawn found her voice and her song writing talent. Before long she found herself being the main front person for the group. Since then Dawn has freelanced with various jazz groups and performers not only on her trumpet but as a vocalist as well.
