Tony D and the Groove
Tony D & the Groove
is a jazz quintet centered around the groove and the history of the Hammond organ. Tony DiPasquale is the anchor of the group on organ and has been performing in and around the Midwest playing piano and jazz organ in a variety of venues. Tony is completing his 14th year as Director of Bands in Belleville District #118, and his new book and play-a-long CD, The Jazz Lictionary, was just released in May 2010.
Mark Tessereau, band director at Belleville East High School, joins Tony on trumpet bringing with him a talent and a performing experience second to none. On trombone, Jon Siddle brings an extensive performance record and a great talent for arranging music for the group. Rounding out the group are Jerry Kelley on guitar and Terence Mayhue on drums. Jerry is just returning from a tour of the Middle East as a member of the Air Force Band of Mid-America stationed at Scott Air Force Base. Terence is currently Director of Percussion Studies and Assistant Band Director at McKendree University. Jerry and Terence bring a laundry list of "Who's Who" with their performing credentials.
Tony D & the Groove are honored and excited to be a part of this years' Wine,Dine, and Jazz Festival!
